On Tuesday, the Governor announced an expansion of in-person learning eligibility. The February 8th date is when it is possible to begin in person learning in a hybrid model. The New Mexico Public Education Department also issued many requirements that must be addressed before a district can transition to a hybrid model. A site visit by the public education department must also occur prior to students returning to in person learning.
Hybrid learning involves groups of students returning to campus 2 days per week. The remaining three days will involve remote or independent learning. Hybrid learning will involve required mask wearing and social distancing for students and staff, along with a list of other requirements.
To help in planning and determining the district’s next steps, we are requesting you complete a survey.
